July 16, 2015. It was a frantic conclusion for Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team to the NASCAR Pinty's Series western swing at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon on Wednesday evening. During the afternoon practice Ranger felt something might be amiss with the car. The team roared into action swapping motors as a precaution and Ranger powered his way to a third place finish.

The work during the afternoon was just part of the story however. The #27 Mopar Parts Dodge was quick during practice and with a fresh motor installed Ranger posted the fourth quickest qualifying lap. Starting on the outside of row two Ranger was at the front of the field by lap four. “The car felt great and I really think we had a strong set up for the race,” said Ranger.

During the race Ranger would have the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge at the front of the field on five separate occasions and lead a total of 77 race laps. As the race wore on the team was thrown another curve as rain began to sprinkle on the track. “I could feel how slippery the track was getting,” said Ranger. “It became very tough to stay out front and I wound up losing a couple of places,” he added.

During several restarts in the closing laps Ranger pushed the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge as hard as he could looking to get back to the front of the field. The Roxton Pond, Quebec driver would take the checkered flag with his second podium result of the season claiming a third place finish.

“I want to thank the whole Mopar Motorsports team for all the hard work today” he stated. “I thought we might have something for the others but it was tough after falling back a little in the wet. But I’m happy with the result and we move up a little bit in the points,” stated Ranger.

After six events Andrew Ranger is tied for third in the overall championship standings.

Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team return to action Saturday July 25th at the Autodrome St. Eustache in St. Eustache, Quebec.
